The Georgia Center of Innovation’s logistics team has announced keynote speakers and topics for the 2023 Georgia Logistics Summit to be held in Savannah on March 8, 2023, at the Savannah Convention Center. The event will explore the intersection of the economy, technology, and growth of Georgia’s ports in an industry that touches every facet of commerce.

“Year after year, we hear positive feedback from companies that attend the Summit about the value of the information presented and contacts they make at the event. 2023 Georgia Logistics Summit attendees will hear directly from Georgia Ports Authority leadership about the ports’ preparations for the next five years and its projections for the future. Coordination and a more thorough understanding of ports’ operations will allow companies to better respond and prepare, also aiding in the efficiency of cargo movement. Timely insights will help participants make their own plans to keep cargo moving efficiently.

A broad economic outlook for the logistics industry will include an overview from the global, national, and state levels. Further, attendees will have the opportunity to learn from private-sector perspectives on the latest supply-chain visibility tools and platforms that will address both short- and long-term technology needs for the industry. Topics for discussion on the logistics workforce will range from wage pressure to demographics and attitudes, to the future of work, as well as the role of robotics. Information on real estate trends in the region will also be covered during the day.
