Duffey Southeast was honored the first place award at the Associated General Contractors of Georgia Annual Convention on June 9th in Destin, Florida for their recent completion of the Floyd Urgent Care Clinic located in Rome, GA.

The company took home first place honors for best representation in the construction industry for exceptional project safety performance, overcoming challenges of a difficult project, innovation in construction techniques and materials, excellence in project management and scheduling, and dedication to client service and customer care.

The Floyd Urgent Care Clinic was constructed during a tight ten month schedule and is located in the parking lot of Floyd's previous Urgent Care facility which remained operational for the duration of the project. The new 8,600 SF healthcare facility had its challenges with an aggressive winter construction schedule and confinement of construction activities while working in very close proximity to the hospital's ongoing patient healthcare traffic. Despite the various challenges, the project was delivered safely, on time and within budget without disruption to medical services in the existing Urgent Care.

"This project was an exciting milestone for Duffey Southeast and our team worked tirelessly over ten months to achieve an on-time delivery of the Urgent Care facility. It's gratifying to serve people in our communities and helping them to meet their healthcare needs while in a new, updated facility," said Dan Baker, P.E., President of Duffey Southeast Construction.
