Wednesday, January 9th, 2019

Georgia Secretary of State Robyn A. Crittenden named Secretary of State-Elect Brad Raffensperger to the Secure, Accessible, and Fair Elections (SAFE) Commission. Additionally, on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, Commission Co-Chairs Secretary of State Crittenden and Representative Barry Fleming accepted H. Maxine Daniels’ resignation from the Commission.

“The work that the SAFE Commission is doing is vitally important to the future of elections in Georgia, and that is why I asked Secretary-Elect Raffensperger to join the Commission. As the incoming secretary of state, his input is crucial to the Commission’s goal of providing recommendations for the state’s next voting system. I would also like to thank Maxine Daniels for her service on the Commission,” said Crittenden.

The next SAFE Commission meeting will take place on Thursday, January 10, 2019, in Room 606 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building (18 Capitol Square, Atlanta, GA 30334).
