Floyd Medical Center: Some Classes, Support Groups to Be Held Online

Floyd will offer some classes and support groups in a virtual, online environment through the month of April to protect the safety of the public and our employees. Groups that don’t lend themselves to an online presence have been postponed. This applies to all classes and support groups that meet at Floyd Medical Center, Polk Medical Center and Cherokee Medical Center.

Our educators are providing registered participants with access information. 
 
The following classes and support groups will be held online:

Prepared for Birth 

Prepared for Breastfeeding 

Moms Circle

Birth Essentials

Birth Essentials for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing

Birth Essentials for Teens

Baby Health and Safety

Boot Camp for New Dads 

Gestational Diabetes

The following classes and support groups have been canceled through April:

Al-Anon 

Diabetes Support Group 

Comprehensive Diabetes Education Class  

Diabetes Refresher Education Class

Live Well Cherokee

Alcoholics Anonymous, held by Floyd Behavioral Health, will continue in person because attendance is fewer than 9 people.
