The Georgia Department of Labor’s Rome Career Center will host a recruitment for 2Work Staffing to hire 30 MIG (metal inert gas) welders to work in Rome.

The recruitment will be held on Monday, April 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the career center located at 462 Riverside Parkway in Rome.

Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health regulations, all applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Applicants are required to have a high school diploma, or a General Education Diploma, and provide their own welding hood and steel-toed boots. However, if a selected applicant doesn’t already own that equipment, the employer will assist in purchasing it.

Salaries will begin at $13 an hour, depending on experience.
