Floyd Fights Hunger to Pack 50,000 Meals Saturday

Scores of volunteers will pack the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds Saturday for the first Floyd Fights Hunger drive. The project, spearheaded by the Rome-Floyd United Way, initially hoped to prepare 25,000 meals to be distributed through local agencies but the response from the community has been so great that the plan has expanded to 50,000 meals.
