The Georgia Department of Economic Development announced that Geveko Markings, a world leader in materials for road and pavement markings and horizontal decoration applications, will create 75 jobs in Gainesville.

“We are excited to welcome Geveko Markings to Hall County,” said GDEcD Commissioner Pat Wilson. “Georgia is a magnet for international companies who are seeking to expand in North America. I am confident that Geveko will find all the resources they need to be successful here including a readily available and skilled workforce.”

Geveko Markings, founded in Sweden in 1924, has grown its North American market presence significantly leading the company to expand its manufacturing, distribution and supporting functions to a new, larger facility and headquarters.

“We are fully committed to serve and expand our presence and activities in North America,” said Group CEO of Geveko Markings Ulrik Haagen-Olsen. “The new facility will allow us to cater better to the market and, in addition, support our objective of delivering superior customer experience and becoming the preferred supplier of high-quality road and pavement marking materials.  We selected Gainesville due to its proximity to Atlanta, accessibility to skilled workers, and because operations can be easily scaled from the location.”

Geveko Markings will construct a new 80,000 square foot manufacturing center and headquarters on a 20-acre site in the Gainesville Business Park.  The company has selected Carroll Daniel Construction as its design-build construction firm for the project. GevekoMarkings has already started the project, and the new facility is expected to be complete in the third quarter of 2019.
