Development Authority of Polk County Unveils New Website

As part of its ongoing improvement efforts, the Development Authority of Polk County launched its new website on July 1, 2020. The economic development organization, also known as DAPC, will use the website as a tool to market Polk County nationally and globally and encourage new economic growth and investment in the county. 

The new website will have a new, dedicated web address, www.choosepolk.com . The site provides users with substantial functionality, ease of use and access to critical data for each of Polk County’s cities and the county as a whole. Additionally, the custom report-building feature will give site selectors and business leaders the ability to compile information that is pertinent to their specific industry. 

The Development Authority of Polk County is an independent agency charged with economic development for the county and provides a single point of contact for industry looking to relocate or expand within the footprint of the county. Its mission is to bring quality jobs and opportunities for the citizens of Polk County through continued growth in new and existing industry and the redevelopment of areas of commercial blight or underuse.

DAPC’s state-of-the-art resources provide prospects, developers, brokers, property, and business owners with detailed information about specific parcels and available land, industrial and commercial space. Polk County’s location affords businesses excellent access to cities such as Atlanta, Birmingham, and Chattanooga, and other places in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and beyond. More than $100 million in new investments have been made in Polk County in the past 20 years through the efforts of the Development Authority.
