Jay Shedd Named Director of Respiratory Therapy at Floyd

Jay Shedd has been named Director of Respiratory Therapy at Floyd and will be responsible for the daily operations and clinical outcomes of the Respiratory Therapy departments at Floyd Medical Center, Polk Medical Center and Cherokee Medical Center.
In addition, Shedd will oversee the Sleep Centers at Floyd Medical Center and Cherokee Medical Center, Vascular Access Teams at Floyd and Polk medical centers as well as Neurodiagnostics and Vascular Ultrasound at Floyd Medical Center.
Shedd has been at Floyd for 27 years and has worked as a registered respiratory therapist for 21 years.
Shedd earned his Respiratory Therapy Diploma from Coosa Valley Technical College and a Bachelor's degree in business administration from Reinhardt University in Waleska, Georgia.
Shedd is a member of American Society for Respiratory Care, Georgia Society for Respiratory Care, Georgia Vascular Access Network (PEACHVAN) Specialty Practice: Neonatal Care, Neonatal Transport, Vascular Access.
