IABBB 2023 Board of Directors Appointments

The International Association of Better Business Bureaus® (IABBB) recently announced the appointment of three new board of directors.
“We are honored to have Oscar, Tony, and Rod join our board of directors,” said Kip Morse, CEO of IABBB. Each brings a unique perspective to our organization, and we look forward to working with them as we implement our strategic plan across the BBB system.”
Rod Davis is President and CEO of the Better Business Bureau Serving Southeast Florida and the Caribbean. In addition to the IABBB board, Mr. Davis serves on the Board of Junior Achievement Broward County and the BBB Institute for Marketplace Trust.
Mr. Davis previously served as Senior Vice President, Marketing, Programs, and Partnership at the Council of Better Business Bureaus and as President of the BBB Institute for Marketplace Trust. During his tenure at the CBBB, Mr. Davis served on the Board of ASE and as a Consumer Advisor to the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Mr. Davis also served on the board of the Serpentine Society of the University of Virginia.
Mr. Davis encourages using effective customer service strategies to build marketplace trust and promotes effective self-regulatory solutions to resolve industry challenges. Mr. Davis has presented at national conferences for various industries, managed programs to resolve international disputes, and routinely shares information with the media to inform and educate consumers and business audiences.
Oscar Garcia is the Senior Vice President of the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce and Director of the CA Hispanic SBDC Regional Business Center; he is widely recognized for his contributions to Northern California’s entrepreneurial community.
He plays a key role in strategic business planning and development, education and technical assistance, and capital infusion for business growth and expansion.
The U S Small Business Administration Sacramento Regional Office and the SCORE Organization have awarded him Counselor of the Year. For his outstanding entrepreneurial spirit and contributions to the community, he has received recognition from the California State Assembly, Senate, and House of Representatives.
Tony Priore is the Chief Marketing & Membership Office for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), headquartered in Rosemont, Illinois. With more than 39,000 members, the AAOS is the world’s largest medical association of musculoskeletal specialists.
Mr. Priore leads the marketing, communications, and membership functions for the Academy, overseeing marketing strategy, planning, and program implementation for all products and services related to member acquisition, retention and engagement, and promotion of educational programs, events, AAOS’ clinical registries, and quality and advocacy efforts.
Over his career, Mr. Priore actively participated in three successful IPOs, earned numerous awards and recognition, and co-authored one of the first email marketing books for professionals: entitled 'Email Marketing: Using Email to Reach Your Target Audience & Build Customer Relationships' published by Wiley.
Tony was recognized earlier in his career as one of the “I.20” top internet marketers in the U.S. by Ad Age magazine. He also served as a member of the Corporate Champions Board of the former Children's Hospital of Chicago and a member of the AboutFace Theatre Board of Directors.
Mr. Priore earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Northwestern University in Marketing & Communications.
