Pediatrician Tammy Lyles-Arnold is now seeing patients at Atrium Health Floyd Primary Care Family Medicine & Pediatrics Polk, 2370 Rockmart Hwy.

Dr. Lyles-Arnold is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics. She completed her residency at the University of Chicago Children's Hospital, Chicago, Illinois, and received her medical degree from Meharry Medical College, Nashville, Tenn.

She believes developing trust with both parents and her pediatric patients is important.

“With a parent, it is important to develop trust, because even with adults, if you don't trust your doctor, you just won't listen," she said. “With my patients, you definitely have to develop trust because they won't even let you touch them if you don't."

She said she became a pediatrician because she likes working with children and loves watching them grow and develop. She believes that preventive care is key – that children will become adults who are invested in health and wellness if they are taught good health practices when they are young.

Dr. Lyles-Arnold enjoys watching her son play in the band on Friday nights, as well as music, bike riding and fitness.
