Late Sign-up Deal Available for Paper Doll Parade and Road Race
Tuesday, September 9th, 2025
If you haven't already signed up for the Paper Doll Parade and Breast Cancer Awareness 5K, sponsored by Atrium Health Floyd and Harbin Clinic, you have another chance to receive a discount for the Saturday, Sept. 27 event.
The post-Labor Day special will be $26 for the 5K and $21 for the Health Walk, starting Sept. 7 and ending Sept. 10 at midnight. This year's event, organized by Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation, will take place as usual at Ridge Ferry Park in Rome. The 5K – a Peachtree Road Race qualifier – will start at approximately 9 a.m. with the 2-mile Paper Doll Parade health walk beginning at 9:15 a.m.
Atrium Health Floyd's iconic dolls – symbols of breast health, breast education and the belief that knowledge is power – will again be on display in fashionable running apparel around the park.
Proceeds from every entry will go towards Floyd Healthcare Foundation's scholarship fund to financially assist women who can't afford a mammogram. You can also donate online at https://www.floyd.org/foundation/Pages/Make-a-Donation.aspx and select the Breast Center as the Giving Program.
A costume contest will be held at 8:45 a.m., and breast cancer survivors will be recognized after the walk and race are over.
Regular registration, which closes Sept. 21, will cost $31 for the run and $26 for the walk. Late registration will be in-person only and is $41 for both the walk and the run.
Want to get a group together and plan a theme? Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation is offering a discount for groups of 10 or more, who register for the walk or run together.
Group registration continues through Sept. 17. Teammates are encouraged to form teams with creative, themed names and costumes as a fun wellness activity and opportunity to socialize. You can take advantage of the early registration discount and support mammography scholarships by clicking this link to register.

The regular group registration cost is $16 for the walk and $21 for the run. One person in the group will be responsible for packet pick-up and communication should race times, walk times, or events change.
