The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) reached new heights in Academic Year 2026, graduating a record 50,847 students while marking its fourth consecutive year of enrollment growth and setting all-time highs in credentials awarded and in-field job placement.

TCSG enrollment grew 6.6 percent over the previous year to 169,841 students, marking the fourth year in a row that enrollment has increased across Georgia’s technical colleges. The sustained growth reflects increasing demand for career-focused education and training and the critical role Georgia’s technical colleges play in preparing the state’s workforce.

“We are graduating more students than ever before, and they are leaving our colleges with the skills Georgia employers need,” said TCSG Commissioner Greg Dozier. “Four consecutive years of enrollment growth shows that more Georgians are recognizing the value of technical education and the opportunities it creates. These record numbers are a testament to our students, faculty, and staff, and the strong partnerships our colleges have built with employers across the state. Through Governor Kemp’s Top State for Talent initiative, we are building on this momentum to ensure Georgians have the skills and opportunities they need to succeed while strengthening the talent pipeline that keeps our state competitive.”

In addition to a record number of graduates, TCSG colleges awarded more credentials than at any point in the system’s history during AY26, including:

• 70,719 Technical Certificates of Credit (TCCs) — an all-time high
• 11,766 associate degrees — an all-time high
• 88,285 total awards — an all-time high

The system also achieved a record 92.78 percent in-field placement rate, meaning nearly 93 percent of graduates who entered the workforce found employment in the field in which they studied. Nearly all TCSG graduates are either employed or continuing their education, underscoring the connection between technical education and economic opportunity in Georgia.

“Getting students enrolled is important, but ultimately our success is measured by what happens when they leave us,” said Dozier. “Our students are graduating in record numbers, and they’re putting their skills to work. When nearly 93 percent of those entering the workforce are employed in the field they trained for, that tells us our programs are aligned with the opportunities Georgia employers are creating.”

TCSG’s four consecutive years of enrollment growth and record credential production come as Georgia employers continue to seek skilled workers across high-demand industries including healthcare, advanced manufacturing, construction, transportation, information technology, and logistics.
